Reading Time: 4 minutes

This challenge can be solved in multiple ways. We’ll only focus on the fastest one but I encourage you to do it on your own.

I urge you to try by yourself before looking at this solution

Solution

As always when we try to solve this type of geolocation challenge, we run a reverse image search on a specific part of the video where most of objects are visible:

As we don’t have a lot of information, we’ll simply enumerate all the possibilites given by Google Lens.

Fortunately for us, Google Lens is absolutely insane in some cases.
If we search for toray facility or toray cma, the three poles are easily identifiable:

We also have a complete name for the company: Toray CMA which means Toray Composite Materials America.

Let’s very this by using Google Maps:

This is near Seattle. As mentioned in a previous challenge, Cody leaves somewhere around Seattle.

If we zoom in:

The elements are the same.

Let’s grab the address:

https://www.google.com/maps/@47.0841081,-122.3627741,3a,75y,263.72h,89.33t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s8wiCgfsytHpv1LSc0m2S-w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu

I didn’t mentioned in during this writeup but in the video Cody says at 01:25: "This place, I have an association with it, or had an association with it".

So, instead of rushing the reverse image search we could have went to its LinkedIn profile and search for companies we works or worked for, list them all and find there location to manually go to Google Street View and validate or invalidate the assumption.

From Cody’s LinkedIn profile:

I only focused on GEOINT for this challenge but you can find a lot more of information about this company using basic OSINT techniques like Google dorks to enumerate PDFs, annual reports, etc…
